For centuries, many people have often times looked up at the stars wondering what exactly everything means. The word astrology itself literally means “science of the stars.”

In fact for most of its history, astrology was considered to be a scholarly idea. It was accepted in political and academic contexts, and was even connected with other areas of studies like astronomy, alchemy, meteorology, and even medicine.

Astrology contains both the idea of an organized body of knowledge of the universe, along with the way the stars “speak” to us or even simply how they can give meaning to our live. Astrology is also said to shape peoples personality, affect their romantic relationships, predict their economic fortunes, along with many other things.

Those who practice astrology are called “Astrologers.” They tend to seek the mean and the application of how planets, stars, and other aspects of the universe have an effect on our lives.

There are 12 different signs (referring to the 12 main constellations or sun-signs) that everyone belongs to based on their birthday. Many astrologers will say that if you look for your horoscope based only on your birthday alone, you won’t get very much detail. This is because your birthday is the simplest form – this is why many true horoscopes go into more depth.

One way to get more information is to check where the planets were located on the day you were born. When combined with other elements such as houses and angles, it can then start to profile a better, more accurate horoscope.
